Roustabout (offshore) For Blake International Rigs.

The Roustabout will safely and efficiently perform the general manual labor tasks throughout the rig under the supervision of the Crane Operator.
This includes, but is not limited to, offloading and back-loading of supply vessels, maintenance, clean up, housekeeping.
Chipping and painting of the rig, the movement and relocation of supplies, groceries and equipment of the rig, simple maintenance and repairs to the plumbing and sewer systems.
Working in the chemical mixing area, as well as providing relief workers for the drill floor crew and assistance to the Welder, Mechanic, Electrician, Driller or Derrickhand as directed to do so by the Crane Operator.
Responsibilities:
Job Responsibilities
- Assist the Crane Operator with the rigging of equipment, supplies, tubular, pipe and casing that needs to be moved or relocated throughout the rig.
- Inspects and rigs loads using slings, tag lines, chains, shackles, lift caps, hooks, chain binders, etc.; hooks and unhooks the crane from slings, equipment, etc..
- Assist in handling and mixing mud and chemicals safely, and disposes of debris properly.
- Fills in as a relief worker for the drill crew.
- Greases and maintains the hatches, wedges, fire flaps, and cargo gear.
- Assist in assembling, dismantling, maintaining and lubrication deck machinery and other equipment.
- Organizes equipment and materials on the deck to provide adequate working area.
- Maintenance, washing, and cleaning up of the drilling rig which can include, but not limited to, chipping and painting decking and equipment.
- Prepares surfaces for painting using power tools; selects and uses proper equipment.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Safety
- Ensures safe work practices in all areas of the operation the employee is involved in.
- Participates in the Safety Training Observation Program (S.T.O.P.), uses the Stop Work Authority and the Permit to Work System
- Participates in all safety, tailgate meetings, the development and production of Job Safety Environmental Analysis
- Participates as a member of the fire team and helideck fire team.
- Participates in drills and exercises as a member of an emergency team.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Professional Experience:
- Physical and cognitive ability to perform the responsibilities of this position.
