DRILLER-ASSISTANT (Offshore) For Nabors

The Assistant Driller is responsible for helping the Driller as needed with Crewmembers and making sure all duties are carried out safely and properly.
ROLE
• To demonstrate and promote safety leadership
• Assist the Driller, Tool Pusher, Rig Manager, Operator Rep. or Crewmembers as needed.
• Give Crewmembers guidance and support when and where it is needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Personally responsible for own safety and conducting ones self to the standards of Nabors Policies and Procedures
• Assist the Driller in operation of rig and equipment when needed
• Make sure all duties delegated by Driller for crewmembers are carried out safely and quickly as possible
• Help crewmembers with duties as needed
• Attending and participating in all safety meetings and drills
• Reporting all accidents, incidents and near misses to direct supervisor
• Being involved in the Smart Program
• Constant checking of rig and equipment to make sure it is in good running condition and if any doubts something doesn’t seem right report it to direct supervisor
• Practice safe work habits and set an example for crewmembers
• Keep a good attitude towards your job and supervisors
• Give guidance to crewmembers when you see them doing something the wrong way
• Always be aware of what is going on around you
• Always wear your Personal Protective Equipment
• Do whatever is asked of you to the best of your ability
• Ensure understanding of, and compliance with, Nabors permit to work system
RELATIONSHIPS
Line Managers: Driller, Tool Pusher, Rig Manager
Direct Reports: Derrickman, Floormen, Roustabouts
Key Relationships: Driller, Tool Pusher, Rig Manager, Operator Rep. and everyone working on or around the Rig
